Egg yolk
Licetin, contained in the yolk, nourishes the nerve tissue and brain, which is a prophylactic against sclerosis. It also helps normalize the liver, gallbladder and biliary tract. Carotenoids increase visual acuity, and have a preventive effect on the development of senile cataracts. Compared with other foods, yolk cholesterol does not belong to the saturated fats, and therefore can be easily broken down. Also in egg yolk are phospholipids, which bind and remove the excess cholesterol. Cholein, a nutrient in the yolk, prevents the formation and development of malignant tumors, particularly breast cancer.
