Olive oil

The formula of olive oil is ideal: it has a lot of unsaturated fats, easily broken down, and saturated, solid – very little. The vitamins here are those the skin needs – A, E and D, but a special role is played by various accompanying substances. Most of the phosphorus-containing compounds in this oil are phosphatides and phospholipids. The first contain many sugars and help retain water in the oil, the latter are needed to build cell membranes and participate in metabolic processes.
